Frequently asked
Rhythm Lamps FAQ
How does the lamp react to sound?
A built-in microphone samples ambient audio in real time. The T10 splits signal into low and high frequency channels across its 10 tubes; X-Light animates its single tube based on overall intensity. No software needed — works standalone on 5V USB-C power.
Can I plug in a music source directly?
T10 has a 3.5mm line-in for direct audio feed from a laptop, phone, or audio interface — cleaner signal than ambient mic and more reactive. X-Light uses ambient mic only.
How many RGB modes are there?
Both support static colors, aurora (slow gradient shift), rainbow cycle, and rhythm (sound-reactive). Mode switches via onboard button; settings persist through power cycles.
Is it too bright for a bedroom or office?
Brightness is adjustable across the range. On the lowest setting both lamps work as ambient night-lighting without being distracting. On the brightest setting they're desk-feature pieces visible from across a room.
Power requirements?
5V via USB-C. Any 5W+ USB-C source works — laptop port, phone charger, USB hub. No separate adapter required.
