A tritium lamp is a self-luminous glow device that uses tritium gas sealed in a phosphor-coated glass tube. It produces light for 10–25 years without any power source. Does the X-Light contain real tritium?
No. The X-Light uses RGB LEDs to emulate the glow and tower form factor of real tritium gas tubes. It is 100% non-radioactive, USB-C powered, and legal to ship to any country. Real tritium lamps (GTLS) are regulated in most markets and often cannot be air-shipped internationally.
How is the X-Light different from a real tritium tube?
Real tritium tubes glow for 10–25 years via beta decay, but they emit only a single color (green, yellow, or red), are fragile, and face shipping restrictions in many countries. The X-Light delivers any color, reacts to sound in real time, is durable CNC aluminum, and has no regulatory issues — all for desktop aesthetics without the radioactive hassle.
Does it need to be connected to speakers?
No. This product has a built-in high-sensitivity sound sensor that reacts to ambient audio in the room. Simply place it near your speakers, and it will respond to music, gaming audio, or any sound in the environment. No audio cables or Bluetooth pairing required.
How is it powered?
Powered via USB-C (5V). Simply connect to any USB power source — a wall adapter, computer USB port, or power bank. No batteries required. The power adapter is not included; any standard USB-C cable and 5V adapter will work.
Can I adjust the sensitivity and colors?
Yes. Physical buttons on the device let you cycle through colors, lighting modes, and adjust audio sensitivity and brightness. Settings are saved automatically and persist across power cycles.
