EleksTube App Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how EleksMaker株式会社 and EleksMaker LLC (“EleksTube”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) collect, use, store, and protect information when you use the EleksTube iOS app (the “App”). The App is a companion app for EleksTube IPS clock devices and is used for device setup, Bluetooth control, face library downloads, custom face upload, album image upload, support, and diagnostics.

The App does not include third-party advertising SDKs or third-party tracking SDKs. We use first-party data only to provide and improve the App, operate device features, deliver requested images or face packs, provide support, maintain security, and understand product usage.

Information We Collect

Device and App Information

When you use Bluetooth, face library, custom face, album image, or support features, the App or our first-party services may process information such as:

Bluetooth device name
Device firmware version
Device UID
Device MAC address
App platform
App version and build number
Request ID
Event type, event stage, and event status
Country code inferred by Cloudflare from the request

For first-party analytics, device UID and MAC address are hashed on our server with a server-side secret before they are stored. We do not intentionally store raw IP addresses long term for App analytics purposes.

Bluetooth and Wi-Fi Setup Information

The App uses Bluetooth to discover and control compatible EleksTube devices. Device identifiers, Bluetooth names, firmware information, command responses, and setup status may be processed locally in the App and, where needed, included in support or diagnostic requests.

If you use Wi-Fi setup, the App sends the Wi-Fi network information you provide to your EleksTube device over Bluetooth so the device can connect to your network. We do not use Wi-Fi setup information for advertising or tracking.

Face Library, Custom Face, and Album Image Data

When you download a face pack or upload a custom face or album image, we may process the selected image, generated device-ready image data, related file metadata, request status, and temporary storage paths so the App and device can complete the requested action.

Uploaded user images may be stored in our first-party Cloudflare storage services for delivery, troubleshooting, operations, abuse prevention, and support. These images are not used for third-party advertising or third-party tracking.

Support Information

If you contact support from the App, the support message may include the details you provide and App or device context such as Bluetooth name, firmware version, device UID, MAC address, App version, and App build. This information helps us diagnose device setup, connectivity, image transfer, and firmware-related issues.

How We Use Information

We use the information described above to:

Provide Bluetooth device discovery and control
Send selected face packs or images to compatible EleksTube devices
Process custom face and album image uploads
Provide customer support and troubleshooting
Measure first-party usage of Face Library, Custom Face, and Album Image features
Improve reliability, performance, and product design
Detect, prevent, and investigate abuse, fraud, or security issues
Comply with legal obligations

Analytics and Tracking

The App uses first-party analytics for operational and product improvement purposes. We do not use third-party advertising SDKs, third-party tracking SDKs, or cross-app tracking.

Analytics events may include feature usage events such as face pack download, custom face upload, and album image upload, together with event status and device/app context. Device UID and MAC address are hashed on the server before storage for analytics.

How We Share Information

We do not sell personal information. We do not share App data with third-party advertising networks for cross-app tracking.

We may share information with service providers that help us operate the App and related services, such as cloud hosting, storage, security, diagnostics, and customer support providers. These service providers are only allowed to process information as needed to provide services to us.

We may also disclose information if required by law, regulation, legal process, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of EleksTube, our users, or others.

Data Retention

We retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the App, operate requested features, provide support, maintain security, comply with legal obligations, and improve our services.

Uploaded images and related temporary delivery data may be retained for operational, troubleshooting, support, and abuse-prevention purposes. First-party analytics data may be retained in aggregated or pseudonymous form to understand device and feature usage.

Your Choices

You can choose not to use Bluetooth control, Wi-Fi setup, custom image upload, album image upload, or support features. Some App features may not work without the related device, image, or support information.

You may clear local App data using iOS system controls or delete the App from your device. You may also contact us to request access, correction, or deletion of information associated with your support request or App usage, where applicable by law.

Children’s Privacy

The App is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

International Processing

We may process and store information in countries or regions other than where you live. When we transfer information internationally, we take appropriate steps to protect it in accordance with applicable law.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information processed through the App and related services. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to the App, our services, legal requirements, or business practices. If we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date above and take additional steps where required by law.
