Meet Neon Retro, a new display mode in EleksTube IPS firmware v26.0928.0001. Inspired by the neon digital clocks of the 1970s, it pairs slender glowing digits with mechanical-style transitions and an animated starburst seconds display.
Release scope: This update is for EleksTube IPS Gen3 devices. Neon Retro is controlled through the web control panel or the clock's A button; it is not yet available in the EleksTube iOS or Android apps.
A new retro look for your clock
Neon Retro uses four screens for hours and minutes, with a colon on the third screen and an animated starburst on the rightmost screen. A ring of twelve dots around the starburst advances every five seconds.
When the time changes, the digits switch segment by segment with a brief flicker, giving each transition the character of an electromechanical display.
Choose orange or green
Choose an orange or green glow in the web control panel. Your color preference is saved and kept after a restart.
How to turn on Neon Retro
- Web control panel: Open Display and select Neon Retro. Choose Orange or Green with the Neon Retro color controls.
- A button: Press the clock's A button to cycle through display modes. Neon Retro comes immediately after Sky Info.
- Smart Schedule: Choose Neon Retro as the display mode in a scene to make it part of your schedule.
Your time format, preserved
Neon Retro follows your existing 12- or 24-hour setting. In 12-hour mode, hours below 10 are shown without a leading zero.

Visit the EleksTube WebUI Firmware Installer for firmware v26.0928.0001 and installation instructions. Check that your device is supported and follow the installer guidance before updating.
App support: Neon Retro selection is not yet available in the EleksTube iOS and Android apps. For this release, use the web control panel or the A button instead.
