Firmware v26.0926.0004 brings more accurate timekeeping, more flexible time synchronization, and a more dependable web control panel to EleksTube IPS Gen3. It also includes the recent fixes for online clock face downloads, Sky updates, and portal loading.
Better timekeeping, with more control
This update fixes a small timing delay after restarts and network time syncs. When internet time is unavailable, the clock uses its built-in temperature-compensated clock chip, provided a valid time has already been set. It also requests a fresh time sync when Wi-Fi reconnects.
Open Settings → Time & Region. Automatic NTP now chooses regional time servers based on the time zone selected here. The panel shows the active servers, the last successful sync, and when synchronization is overdue.
Prefer your own setup? Choose Custom under NTP servers to select a primary server and two fallbacks from regional presets, or enter your own addresses. Sync interval presets run from 30 minutes to 24 hours, with a custom interval of 1–1,440 minutes.
A steadier configuration portal
Portal pages now load more consistently, including Sky and schedule settings on busy connections. Opening the portal no longer automatically starts a Wi-Fi scan. Use System → WiFi → Scan when you need to look for networks.
More reliable clock face downloads
This release fixes the crash and failed downloads seen when installing online clock faces from the portal. Go to Dial Manage → Online Faces to preview and download a face. During a download, the clock displays Download and progress; failed image downloads are now reported correctly.
Image downloads, default-album restoration, and clock face uploads also benefit from improved transfer handling and responsiveness.
Sky and everyday stability
- More dependable updates: improved weather, International Space Station, and Kp refresh handling. Refresh intervals are now 15 minutes for weather, 5 minutes for the ISS, and 30 minutes for Kp.
- Steadier weather display: fixed flickering when weather information is temporarily unavailable.
- Shorter Bluetooth interruptions: ISS-only refreshes no longer pause Bluetooth; weather and Kp connections use shorter pauses.
- More room for future updates: built-in images use less firmware space while keeping the same appearance.
